Your Host will be able to give you
details of the anticipated cost of packing and shipping including
insurance, if required, any item to
your chosen destination.
UK export legislation is
unlikely to be a problem. There are generous allowances for the export
of antiques from Britain to the U.S.A and other countries outside the
European Union. Your Host will be able to give specific advice if
required but generally the following items can be exported without a license
if valued at less than £30,400 per item:-
Furniture
Porcelain, Glassware, silver, metalwork and jewellery
Clocks and Watches
Sculpture and Statuary Guests are advised
to check on any relevant import restrictions for their home
country prior to their departure to the United Kingdom.
