Attractions
The Cotswolds represent a classic view of
England with gentle hills, stone walls and historic market towns and
villages. On your way from Stratford/Warwick to Bath you will have
the opportunity to sample the delights of this unique rural area.
 |
The place names themselves conjure up a
bygone age. Moreton-in-Marsh, Stow-on-the-Wold and Bourton-on-the-Water
are all within a short distance of each other yet each has a
distinctive character [not to mention a selection of fine antique
shops]. |
The abundant
use of the local honey coloured limestone for
building has given the area a magical charm.
SNOWSHILL MANOR, a Tudor house with a 17th Century facade,
once the home of Charles Paget Wade, is a collectors
paradise [and home to 26 suits of Samuri armour]. HIDCOTE
MANOR GARDEN near Chipping Camden has one of the most famous
modern gardens in England.
