Wordsworth Tour

Enjoy the splendour of the Lake District and the history of Stratford upon Avon and Warwick on our Wordsworth Tour.

Starting at historic Stratford upon Avon and Warwick you will explore the world of Shakespeare before journeying northwards to the glorious beauty of the Lake District to enjoy the scenery that inspired Wordsworth and other Lakeland poets and authors. There will be opportunities for bargain hunting at Antique shops as well as the opportunity to attend Auctions and Antique Fairs [subject to availability].

We appreciate that most of our guests wish to attend at least one Auction and Antique Fair during their stay so our itinerary is necessarily flexible to accommodate this.

Our usual tour 2 centre tour is as follows:

Harvard House - Stratford

The tour starts at Stratford where you will stay for 2/3 nights at one of our recommended hotels. During your stay  you may have the opportunity to visit the massive Newark International Antiques and Collectors Fair as well as exploring the town of Shakespeare's  birth. Worth a visit are Shakespeare's birthplace, Anne Hathaway's Cottage, Mary Ardens House and the Shakespeare Countryside Museum and Warwick Castle.

Lake District After leaving Stratford your Tour will take you north to the Lake District with its magnificent hills and lakes and picturesque villages. Worth a visit are Rydal Mount and Gardens and Dove Cottage the former homes of William Wordsworth. However it is the natural beauty of the landscape that make the Lake District that special vacation destination.
